Hello all my friends and watchers... this week I am taking a break from my normal plan to feature each of the donors who contributed to my pool and enabled me to get my premium membership back, but rest assured, I will continue that process next week.

In the meantime, I have a couple news items, and a special double feature this week.

In the news, as most you may have already heard, Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon died this past week... a very sad thing indeed. To find links to news articles about this, please visit the journal of as Gary posted links to NASA and other articles about this sad topic.

You may or may not have heard, and perhaps do not care to know that the Actress/Comedienne  Phyllis Diller also passed away this past week... some of you are probably too young to really be aware of Ms. Diller, I would bet some of are really too young to know much about Mr. Armstrong... but still its very sad news.

In a more joyous vein... I sold a print! Someone here has purchased a small print of my "The Wizarding Stones of Brevasham" which was a complete surprise to me... this makes only the second time I have sold a print here on dA, and only the third piece of art I have ever sold... but it does feel good to have made a sale.

Now some other news arrived this past week, and I am sure most of you in the fractal community already know... our long beloved Light is stepping down as the Community Volunteer for the fractal community here on dA. So far nobody has said who will be replacing dear Light, and it saddens us all to see her leave that post, but we all also wish her the very best.

With that in mind, I have decided (although it is a bit late compared to others) I will do a special feature of her work, as a tribute to all her tireless efforts to (unselfishly, and mostly unrewardedly) serve the Fractal Community here on dA.

I have also been asked by a friend, if I could feature him as well... the wonderful fractal artist who is really a wonderful artist and a very nice person, and I would like to help him get a bit more exposure, so I'll be doing this double feature. I do hope all my friends will show some good dA love to both and (and while your at it, show some love to too, as he is a wonderful deviant who is always ready to lend a hand, and does his best to keep us all up-to-date on new and interesting developments both in the fractal community and in the general news departments)
