Duck Dynasty Brewhaha

I have been hearing far too much about this mess recently, and I thought it might help some people out to learn something that most of you probably do not know...

Te actors on Duck Dynasty are not a bunch of poor rednecks who made it big by getting a show on A&E... they are ACTORS. None of them are actually poor rednecks,, they were all yuppies who had nice clean cut hair, wore polo shirts and played Golf before becoming the stars of that show...

If you want to argue about free speech vs. political correctness, be my guest, but stop excusing this asshole based on this mistaken idea that he's some poor white trash redneck who doesn't know better and is entitled to his racist, homophobic, bigoted opinions.

Also, just for one second consider that this may not be (and in fact is NOT a free speech issue) Phil Robertson is allowed to say any stupid, hateful thing he likes, and A&E is allowed to fire him or suspend him if they don't like what he says... it's not the government that is doing this to him (doing what I have to ask) or some PC group that is persecuting him, it's his EMPLOYER making a call on whether or not such comments will hurt their network... THEY HAVE THAT RIGHT, just like he has every right to be an ass if he so chooses.

And for those who think I'm making u the part about them all (every one of these ACTORS having been yuppies before they got on TV... here's a little video you can watch and actually see real pictures of the cast members as they actually looked before growing their beards and putting on their camo suits...
