yes, they can be... especially when you have a vision in mind and are trying to reach it... I wanted this to be as close to Rick's UltraFractal work as I could get... don't think I really succeeded, but its closer than I had expected to find!

Yes, it is very close. And I like it. I used to work in Ultra Fractal. I still like it. It's a whole different animal than working with a flame system.

I don't think I ever even tried UF... I tried Fractal Explorer once a long long time ago... could not get anywhere with it (of course, I didn't even try any tutorials)

I've been replacing all the old work in my gallery that I had in storage and I keep surprising myself with my old Apo work... most of it doesn't come close to what people are doing now, but a few are not bad at all... and that was without any plug-ins or scripts... just Apo all by itself...
