My Thoughts About The Election We have just seen, in the United States of America, the first mixed race African-American and Caucasian President re-elected for his second term. I believe this election sends a number of clear messages and I feel it behooves us to understand what these messages are.
First and foremost, what I would call the most important thing the Republican Party should learn from this is that you cannot infringe on the rights of citizens. If you try to take away the rights of women, of immigrants, of people with alternative lifestyles, you will continue to lose. This is the Twenty First century guys... things have changed, and you REALLY need to get with the times.
Second, it is very very evident that the American people no longer believe the old conservative line (or should I say lie?) about tax breaks for the wealthy creating jobs. You need to look no further than recent history, each time we have chosen a Republican and enacted these sorts of tax cuts, we have lost jobs
